Write for us

We welcome pitches from writers with a clear curiosity about games, creative pursuits, collecting or the culture of pastimes. A strong proposal gives readers a specific reason to care and makes the subject understandable without assuming specialist knowledge.

What we are looking for

We are interested in original explainers, comparisons, histories, myth-checks and occasion-based pieces with a distinct point. The best ideas have a focused question, a useful takeaway and enough context to make the subject engaging for both newcomers and longtime enthusiasts. Practical suggestions should stay within safe, non-professional guidance.

Make the pitch easy to assess

Use the Contact page to send a working title, a short summary of the argument or central question, the intended reader and a few lines about your approach. If the idea draws on particular sources or examples, mention them. Please say whether the piece has been published or offered elsewhere, and disclose any relevant interests.

Original work and review

Pitches should be your own work, not a finished article copied from another outlet. We may ask for revisions, clearer sourcing or a different angle. Sending a proposal does not guarantee acceptance, and we do not ask writers to make unsupported claims or provide professional advice.
